These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Scene Cleaners Chicago website (“Website”).
By accessing or using this Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Website.
These Website Terms do not replace any separate service agreement, work authorization, estimate, contract, insurance assignment, or other agreement entered into between Scene Cleaners Chicago (“Scene Cleaners,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) and a customer.
Scene Cleaners provides professional cleanup and restoration services for residential and commercial properties.
Services may include:
Biohazard cleanup
Trauma and crime scene cleanup
Unattended death cleanup
Blood and bodily fluid cleanup
Fire and smoke damage restoration
Water damage restoration
Mold remediation
Hoarding cleanup
Sewage cleanup
Emergency cleanup
Cleaning, sanitizing, deodorizing, and restoration services
Other related cleanup and property-restoration services
Specific services, pricing, scope of work, and availability depend on the circumstances of each project.
Scene Cleaners may advertise 24/7 emergency-response services.
While we make reasonable efforts to respond quickly, advertised emergency availability does not guarantee a particular arrival or completion time.
Response times may be affected by location, weather, road conditions, personnel availability, emergency demand, property access, hazardous conditions, government restrictions, or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If there is an immediate threat to life, personal safety, or public safety, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency authority before contacting a cleanup or restoration company.
You may request a quote or estimate through our Website or by telephone.
Any preliminary quote provided without a complete inspection may be subject to change.
Final pricing may depend on factors including:
Type and extent of contamination or damage
Property size
Materials affected
Labor required
Equipment required
Disposal requirements
Emergency or after-hours response
Hidden or previously unidentified damage
Structural conditions
Mold or microbial growth
Hazardous materials
Required third-party services
Additional conditions discovered after work begins may result in changes to the scope, price, or completion schedule.
Any applicable written estimate, work authorization, or service agreement will govern the actual services provided.
Customers are responsible for providing Scene Cleaners with reasonable and lawful access to the property where services are requested.
By requesting service at a property, you represent that you are the property owner or otherwise have sufficient authority to authorize Scene Cleaners to enter the property and perform the requested work.
Customers should notify us of known hazards, unsafe structural conditions, animals, utilities, chemicals, weapons, contamination, or other conditions that could affect the safety of our personnel.
We may postpone, suspend, or refuse work if conditions present an unreasonable safety risk.
Biohazard cleanup can involve bloodborne pathogens, bodily fluids, infectious materials, human or animal waste, sharps, chemicals, biological contamination, and other hazardous materials.
Customers and unauthorized persons should not enter contained or restricted work areas unless authorized by Scene Cleaners or appropriate authorities.
Scene Cleaners may establish containment zones, require occupants to leave an area, remove contaminated materials, and implement other safety procedures reasonably necessary to perform the work.
The customer agrees to follow reasonable safety instructions provided by Scene Cleaners during remediation.
Mold and microbial growth may result from moisture, leaks, flooding, humidity, ventilation problems, or other environmental conditions.
Scene Cleaners may remediate identified contamination, but customers are responsible for correcting underlying building, plumbing, roofing, drainage, HVAC, or moisture problems unless correcting those conditions is expressly included within our agreed scope of work.
No remediation company can guarantee that mold will never return if moisture or other conditions capable of supporting mold growth recur.
Scene Cleaners aims to clean, remediate, restore, or stabilize affected areas using appropriate professional methods.
However, some materials or personal property may be permanently damaged by fire, smoke, water, sewage, mold, biological contamination, chemicals, or other conditions before our work begins.
Accordingly, restoration to an exact pre-loss appearance or condition cannot always be guaranteed.
In some cases, materials may need to be removed and replaced rather than cleaned or restored.
Scene Cleaners may communicate or work with insurance companies and insurance adjusters when authorized by a customer.
However, Scene Cleaners does not control insurance coverage decisions.
We do not guarantee that:
Your insurance company will cover a loss
A claim will be approved
An insurer will pay the full amount invoiced
An insurer’s estimate will match our estimate
Deductibles or exclusions will not apply
Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the customer remains responsible for charges for services authorized by the customer regardless of whether an insurance company pays all or part of a claim.
Submitting a contact form, requesting an estimate, requesting an emergency quote, or contacting Scene Cleaners through the Website does not by itself create a binding service contract.
A service relationship may require additional confirmation, authorization, an estimate, work order, service agreement, deposit, or other documentation.
